5/1/10 & 5/2/10 The Arendtsville Fire Company provided EMS services at the Apple Blossom festival held at the South Mountain Fair grounds. (Box 5-3) Along with providing EMS service, several members helped park cars. EMS handled 7 patients across the weekend with 1 being transported via 6A. (Biglerville) After parking on Sunday the crew gathered around the trailer for some rest & relaxation.

4/23/10 At2053hrs Co. 5 along with 1A (Gettysburg) 6A (Biglerville) and Medic 28 (Gettysburg Hospital) were dispatched for a vehicle accident on the Mummasburg Rd. (Box 5-1) Engine 5-1 and Special Unit 5 responded with 10 volunteers. The engine company stabilized the car and the door was removed with the Amkus tools to gain access to the patient. The box was placed in service At 2156hrs.

4/17/10 At 1229hrs Co. 5 was dispatched to Box 1 to assist Co. 1 (Gettysburg) with a gas leak in a multi-family dwelling. The tower responded with 5. Crews from Tower 5 did a secondary search of division 2, and the box was placed in service At 1335hrs.

4/8/10 At 1508hrs Co. 5, Co 4 (Cashtown) and Co. 27 (Buchanan Valley) were dispatched to 140 Robins Lane (4-2) for a woods fire. Crews contained the fire to ½ acre, and the box was placed available At 1552hrs.

4/6/10 At 1454hrs Co. 5 and Co. 6 (Biglerville) were dispatched to 1495 Fairview Fruit Rd (Box 5-4), for a field fire. Crews contained the fire to a ½ acre, and the box was placed in service At 1608hrs.

3/31/10 At 1619hrs Co. 5 along with Co. 6 (Biglerville) Co. 7 (Bendersville) and Co. 27 (Buchanan Valley) were dispatched to 10 Boyd’s Schoolhouse Rd (Box 5-8), for a woods fire. Crews contained the fire to a small area. The box was placed available At 1707hrs.

3/5/10 At 2059hrs Co. 5 along with Co. 6 (Biglerville) and Co. 27 (Buchanan Valley) were dispatched to 41 Pebble Lane (Box 5-7), for a chimney fire. Engine 5-1 and Tower 5 responded with 7. Crews had to chisel bricks away to make access to the fire, due to the chimney's construction. The box was placed available At 0103hrs.

3/17/10 - At 2155 hours Engine 5-1 was dispatched to the 1-4 box for a stove fire reported out. Engine 5-1 was placed in service while en route.

3/5/10 - At 2059 hours Company 5 units were dispatched to 41 Pebble Lane for a Chimney fire. Units went on scene to confirm dispatch. Crews found fire between the liner and brick in the chimney. Units cleared at 0103.

2/25/10 - At 1531 hours Company 5 was dispatched to 790 Wenksville Road for a reported shed fire. Deputy Chief 5 went on scene to find a smokehouse on fire next to a shed. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and checked for extension. Crews went available at 1604.

January 2010 - Dispatched apartment fire in Box 5. Crew quickly determined it was a malfunctioning light fixture. Minimal damage to home, no injuries.

January 2010 - Dispatched to Box 5-9 Big Flat for stranded vehicle with occupant in meed of medical attention.
